The floating Points commission: Silhouettes: Pablo Barquín, Junior Martínez

"This is an experimental video created by Pablo Barquín, Junior Martínez, Nathan Grimes and Anna Diaz Ortuño."

For those who thought that light graffiti isn´t hot any more, here the outstanding work by Pablo Barquín and Junior Martínez directors of Silhouettes commissioned by Floating Points. Beautiful start, with what you think is plain beautiful timelapsing. Then the lights go on.

"An oscillating stream of light attempts to intrude on an arid natural landscape, abstract light and a living environment merge, reacting to the dynamics of the music.
The luminous abstract forms are produced by a light-painting machine that, frame by frame, draws in a real environment the 3D animated figures."

Apparently the lights are made with a machine, I remember taking part in a workshop where Arduino helped out in precisely that. A photoduino if I can recall correctly. Still, the 3d animated figures really blow up my mind. How was this executed?
