Not precisely digital fluids: ECHOES: Susi Sie

Not precisely digital fluids: ECHOES: Susi Sie

We try to avoid non digital material unless is stop motion. Still is not the first time we post analog motion graphics. This time, the outstanding work of Susi Sie, author of a popular vid seen last summer. What makes me think that maybe that other post was analog too. Maybe Susi can tell us something. Here the post we talk about.

Nevertheless, the inspiration which is the main focus of this blog, is there for us to suck. Some live action specially the slow moe type, tend to show amazing behaviors that you can replicate in professional simulation software like Houdini.

Although we tend to be animators firmly attached to our computer seats, the demand for real footage it will always be out there. Somehow VFX tries to cut down time and capital for productions of all kinds where objectives are well set, "it should look real". Therefore if we stay away sometimes of our software based creativity the better.
